In this podcast series you will hear from people working in the field of neuro-oncology, people who support patients and their families, and those who’ve been told they have a brain tumour. Through the interviews we learn how brain tumours have affected all of these people, often in surprising ways.
Podcast series: A Grey Matter.
“A Grey Matter” is a neuroscience podcast produced by the Queensland Brain Institute, at the University of Queensland. A Grey Matter is for anyone who has ever wondered how we think, feel, reason and move. The Queensland Brain Institute’s neuroscience podcast unlocks the wonders of the brain – the complex and mysterious core of who we are.
While the podcast is about neuroscience generally and covers a wide range of topics, there are particular episodes that focus on brain tumours, for example there is a short episode (11mins) where Dr Jens Bunt, a scientist at the Queensland Brain Institute, is interviewed about his research into Glioblastoma. In this episode he explains a little about what brain cancer is and how tumours occur, with a focus on Glioblastoma.
