Everyone’s brain tumour experience is different and we designed Brain Tumours Online to support everyone regardless of where you live or how your brain tumour is affecting you. This digital platform was designed to provide access to information, people and resources to help make life easier for anyone affected by a brain tumour in Australia.
Brain Tumours Online has been created by a passionate team of healthcare professionals, researchers, digital platform developers, and people with lived experience of brain tumours all working together across different organisations to provide better access to information, people and resources for anyone affected by brain tumours in Australia.
The team that developed Brain Tumours Online included researchers and health care professionals from the University of Melbourne, the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, and the University Hospital Geelong / Barwon Health, along with digital platform developers, DEPT, and people with lived experience of brain tumours.
This project (Responding to need: technology-enhanced brain cancer survivorship) received grant funding from the Australian Government through the Medical Research Future Fund 2020 Brain Cancer Survivorship Grant Program (2021-2024)
