Brain Tumours Online is a website co-designed by patients, carers, and health care professionals aiming to provide reliable, informative, and supportive resources for people in Australia affected by a primary brain tumour or primary brain cancer.
Importantly, Brain Tumours Online is not a substitute for individual clinical or medical diagnosis, treatment or advice. For personal medical or health advice, please contact your general practitioner (GP) or another qualified member of your health care professional team.
The Brain Tumours Online website was developed as part of a research project “Responding to need: technology-enhanced brain cancer survivorship,” that received grant funding from the Australian Government through the Medical Research Future Fund 2020 Brain Cancer Survivorship Grant Program (2021-2024). The research project was administered by the University of Melbourne, with partners from Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, the University Hospital Geelong (Barwon Health) and digital platform developers, DEPT (formerly called Two Bulls).
