Invitation to participate in a research interview - Expanding the scope of BT Online to include content on Brain Metastases.

find-answers

Brain Tumours Online was initially co-designed and developed to provide trusted information and a supportive community for people in Australia with primary brain tumours.

We are now expanding the scope of Brain Tumours Online to include resources that are relevant to people who have cancer in another part of their body (for example Melanoma, breast cancer, lung cancer) that spreads to the brain (brain metastases).

As part of this expansion work, we are seeking participants for an interview study to understand what content, features and functions could be added to Brain Tumours Online to make it more relevant and useful for people with brain metastases.

We invite people with lived experience of brain metastases (patients or their carers) and the health care professionals who treat patients who develop brain metastases to participate in an online interview via Zoom in July – August 2026 (20-30 mins for health care professionals, 30-60 mins for people with lived experience).

If you would like to find out more about participating in an interview, please complete the online ‘Expression of Interest’ form. Someone from the Brain Tumours Online team will then contact you to provide more information.

Scan the QR code to access the Expression of Interest form, or click on this direct link instead.

The research study is called: Identifying needs and preferences for online support for people with lived experience of brain metastases, carers, and health care professionals – an interview study. This project has human research ethics approval from The University of Melbourne (Project ID ERM35580).
