Q&A session with Brain Cancer Care Coordinators from three Victorian hospitals. Care coordinators are great navigators of the health care system and can help point you in the right direction. In this webinar they answer YOUR questions, and will also share tips and responses to some of the most frequently asked questions they hear from patients and their families.

Receiving a diagnosis of a brain tumour can be a challenging and overwhelming experience, and it is normal to have lots of questions. Cancer Care Coordinators are there to help support you and can often answer your questions or suggest where to go to for more specific support. No question is too small or silly. In this session facilitated by Prof Mei Krishnasamy (Professor of Cancer Nursing) you will meet brain cancer care coordinators from three Victorian hospitals who will do their best to answer YOUR questions, and will also share tips and responses to some of the most frequently asked questions they hear from patients and their families. 

About the speakers:

  • Ms Lauren O’Donoghue is a Neuro-Oncology Care Coordinator at Royal Melbourne Hospital.
  • Ms Dallas Byron is a Brain Cancer Nurse Consultant from Barwon Health, based in Geelong, Victoria. 
  • Ms Jane Staker is a Neuro-Oncology Nurse Consultant at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.
  • Prof Mei Krishnasamy will be hosting this Q&A session. Mei is a Professor of Nursing (Cancer) at the University of Melbourne.
