Music Therapy Program for Young Adults Diagnosed with a Brain Tumour (Robert Connor Dawes Foundation)

The Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation was created in memory of Robert ‘Connor’ Dawes. The RCD Foundation provides funds for research projects and offer support programs for children and young adults with a brain tumour diagnosis. For example: They offer blocks of 10 private in-home or online music therapy sessions for people under 25 who have been diagnosed with a brain tumour. You can learn more about the RCD Foundation including their music therapy sessions and grants here.

The Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation was created in June 2013 in the memory of Robert ‘Connor’ Dawes who at just 18 years of age, lost his 16-month battle with brain cancer. The RCD Foundation works tirelessly to support brain matters projects in the areas of research, care, and development – to fund the science to end paediatric brain cancer and support patients in the meantime.

One of the ways the RCD Foundation can help is through their Music Therapy Program. They can offer blocks of 10 private in-home or online music therapy sessions for children and young adults under 25 who have been diagnosed with a brain tumour. In some cases where music therapy isn’t possible or appropriate, music therapy resource grants are also available.
