Can-Sleep Service: A service to improve sleep problems (Peter Mac Cancer Centre)

The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre offers a service for those experiencing sleeping difficulties due to their cancer. The program is based on cognitive behavioural therapy and includes an appointment with a sleep specialist to identify your sleep problem, may include a group session and provides a self-help booklet to self-manage sleep problems.

On the Can-Sleep website you can find out how to access the service, contact details and how your treating  team can refer you. While the service is free for Peter Mac Cancer Centre patients, there is a freely accessible self-help booklet guiding you through cognitive behavioural therapy steps to improve night-time sleep problems. You can also listen to a 40 minute podcast on sleep difficulties and fatigue affecting people with cancer.
